Finally !  Maybe, just maybe we are through with these colder nights and down pours.  Lanier is heating up and the fishing is picking up dramatically.  Stripers and Spots are across the board.  We are catching fish in shallow water up in 2 feet and finding roaming fish over a 100 foot bottom.  Morning or afternoon, in the middle of heavy weekend boat traffic, fish are just plain eating everything in site.

We  have been filling up the boats with stripers and spots and ending all of our trips with a big SMILE. Striper action is picking up but  not  as strong as it was last year at this time. The best time is still  early in the morning. The downline bite is starting to get some action and should pick up in the coming weeks.Until then its's a mix of top water, freelined and umbrella rigs.
